Day 11 – Villefranche-Lauragais to Castanet-Tolosan
Today was a tough day for us. We started early with breakfast from our little hotel and set out to get back onto the Canal. We had to walk a a good ways on the highway, which is never that much fun. The wind was howling, plus it was raining – all right in our faces, and it was that way all day long. I didn’t take too many photos today as there was not too much to see. We are right outside of Toulouse, France’s 3rd largest city, so the major interstate was on our right all day with the Canal on our left. It did not make for great photos.
What was amazing was when we got to our B&B! It was fabulous and our host Michelle was fabulous too! From the glamorous room and huge tub to the 5 star home cooked meals that were so elegantly prepared and served, it absolutely blew my mind! Michelle has every sterling silver serving piece you could ever dream of and I am a huge fan of old world elegance, even in my Crocs! Plus she did all of our laundry! It was the perfect ending to an extremely long hard day!
