The Markets
The markets in the Netherlands are so beautiful. Each town has a weekly market and if you happen to port on the market day, you are in for a real treat! Flowers, cheese, fish, eggs, clothes, oysters, breads and more! I loved shopping and meeting each of the vendors and tasting. smelling, and reading each of the signs in dutch, trying to pronounce each word! With my southern accent, that did not go so well!
Peonies are in season!
The cheese in the Netherlands is absolutely delicious! We went to the cheese museum and learned how cheese was made in early times by the women, and sold in the markets by the men. In this region the Gouda cheese is the cheese of choice but they have so many different types.
Eggs, eggs, and more eggs! Made me miss my girls back home!

Breads! I can not stop eating the breads and the almond cookies!
