Barcelona = Lost Luggage

Well it has not started off as smoothly as we had hoped. We arrived at the airport to find out that our flight was delayed and we would miss our connection. So, we hopped on the phone and were re-routed through Frankfort, only to find that was as far as we could go and they were not sure when we could get to Barcelona. After speaking to every Delta agent possible, we got on a flight to Madrid and after a layover we arrived in Barcelona but our bags didn’t. They decided they would like to stay in NYC for a day or 2. 3 days in the same clothes, spending 1 Euro a minute on the phone listening to a recording about the bags from Iberian Airlines, and having to contact friends in the states to help (thank you Matt and Alisha!!!) did not make for the most relaxing time in Barcelona, however we made the most of it! When life gives you lemons, add vodka – or if you are in Spain add Cava!!

La Sagrada Familia is beyond any church I have ever seen. Click here to read more about the church.

This amazing church is still under construction and will not be completed until 2030. They started building it around 1882.

Breakfast!!!

With coffee and Veterano, my favorite Brandy!

Another fabulous Gaudi creation….

The view of Barcelona…

We are off to Figueres to see the Dali Museum, to Perpignan and then to begin our walk across France!
